Accessibility statement
Last reviewed 2026-10-18
We want everyone to be able to use shopaeo.ai, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or other assistive technology. This statement covers this website. If you hit a barrier in the Mr. AEO app, please tell us the same way.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not had an outside audit, and we don't claim the site fully meets the standard. Based on our own review, we believe it partially meets it: most of the site meets level AA, with the limits listed below.
How we checked
On 2026-10-18 we reviewed every page of this site. We:
- ran automated tests (axe-core) on every page in light and dark mode, at desktop width, at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom
- used every link, button and form with a keyboard only, including the error, loading and result states of the free checker and the sign-up forms
- measured the color contrast of every text and control color in both color modes
- read through the page code for problems automated tests miss
We fixed what we found. We check again when we change the site.
What you can expect
- Text and controls meet level AA color contrast in light and dark mode.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and a "Skip to content" link comes first on every page.
- Pages work at 320 pixels wide and when zoomed to 400%, without scrolling sideways.
- Form fields have labels. Errors are explained in words, linked to the field and read out by screen readers.
- Checker results say "Good" or "Needs work" in words, not only with color.
- Animation is turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Help is in the same place on every page: our email address in the footer.
Known limits
- We have not yet tested the site with a wide range of screen readers and devices, or with people who rely on them. We would welcome your feedback.
- The picture of the review screen on the homepage shows Approve, Edit and Skip as part of the illustration. They are not real buttons, so screen readers skip them.
- On narrow screens the header hides the How it works, Pricing and FAQ links to save space. Those sections are on the homepage, and the footer links to every page.
- The free checker and the sign-up forms need JavaScript.
- Links to Shopify, Google and other sites go to pages we don't control.
Tell us about a barrier
If something doesn't work for you, email [email protected]. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within 2 business days. If we can't fix the problem quickly, we'll help another way: for example, we can run the free check for you and email the result, or add you to the beta by email.
